About WP Moxie

WP Moxie is a well-balanced, customer-oriented cocktail of Sarah Lewis’ know-how and El Edwards’ energy. We are a team determined to provide impeccable programming and top-notch service. We get in, get out—no muss, no fuss. Plus, El’s Welsh and sprinkles her conversations and correspondence with “Brilliant!”, “Fab!”, and abundant smilies—which makes everyone feel good.

Sarah Lewis

Sarah LewisYo, I’m Sarah—head Moxie maven (and one of a handful of people who still insist on saying “yo.”)

I’m also an experienced WordPress programmer who delights in building solid themes and plugins for designers who’d rather be designing than coding. I take your gorgeous design and turn it into equally gorgeous code, crafting any plugins you might need, and setting everything up so it’s rock-solid.

I am a master problem solver. I thrive on untangling complex needs and helping you get exactly what you want.

Of course, I’m not all work, work, work.

My little boy, Benjamin, features prominently in my life—as does his daddy, Daniel. I enjoy good books, impromptu bursts of song, and hearty feasts with the fam.

When we’re kicking back around the house and find ourselves with some free time, Daniel and I are slowly working our way through Star Trek: Voyager on Netflix. (Yeah, we’re nerds like that.)

Want more?

  • I once completed a marathon (never again). And a triathlon (maybe sometime). And I’ve done four 100-mile bike rides. (I’m still recovering from the most recent one. Ask again in a few months when nostalgia overwhelms memory.)
  • A few years back, I took my then two-year-old son to Jordan as part of a babysitting gig (it’s a long story). I got to dig at an archaeology site for a couple of days and rode a donkey through the ancient city of Petra—a city carved into sheer red rock face over 2,000 years ago. It was a pretty incredible experience, to say the least.
  • I’m occasionally outdoorsy. I spent the whole of one summer building trails, fences, and slash piles in the woods. Yes, really.

At the end of 2011, we moved from Boise, Idaho to San Diego, California, and we’re acclimating nicely to year-round sunshine. If you find yourself in the area, give me a shout—I’ll treat you to coffee, ice cream, or boogie boarding—your choice.

El Edwards

El EdwardsHiya! I’m El, Moxie’s Customer Relationship Rockstar. I’ve creatively parlayed my chipper personality into providing our clients with outstanding service—Sarah has crowned me the Diva of Designer Delight. I’m committed to bringing friendliness to every part of our thorough, detailed and efficient work process.

Fluent in programmer lingo, my focus is keeping clients in the loop and Sarah focused on programming. The 8-hour time difference between Sarah in California and myself in Wales actually enhances our tag-team division of labor. Our wheels are always turning; we keep the process moving so you get what you need, when you need it.

Like Sarah, I’m a working mum. In addition to three children, I also care for two guinea pigs, one dog and a husband (although I’m never certain who cares for whom around here. He makes a mean spaghetti bolognese!)

Ever the entrepreneur, when I’m not supporting our clients here at Moxie, I’m also a writer, publisher and founder of UK charity, Give A Brick.

I live in Wales. We are not a part of England; we are a unique country that is part of the United Kingdom. It rains here. A LOT.

We gave the world Monty Python’s Terry Jones, the Velvet Underground’s John Cale, Doctor Who (the relaunch of the Doctor in 2005 was made in-house by BBC Wales in Cardiff) and of course, Gavin & Stacy. You’re most welcome.

While my accent will sound English to you, Welsh is most definitely a different language. By way of an introduction, here’s funny man Jimmy Carr totally ripping us off. Enjoy!
