If your site is down, or you are about to launch something, or you just want top priority service, the Emergency WordPress Help may be just what you need.
How it works
You’re busy (and possibly panicking) so let’s keep it simple!
- Check my real-time availability on the right.
- Read over the Important Details, also on the right.
- If your ready to get started, click the “Get Started Now” button (you guessed it… on the right).
- You’ll be taken to a form on my secure helpdesk system that will give you the opportunity to describe the problem and provide login details so I can help.
- When you send the form, I will automatically receive a text message so I’ll see your request immediately.
- I’ll quickly review it and let you know how I can help, and give you an estimated time until you’ll hear from me again.
- We’ll continue to communicate through the helpdesk system until the problem is resolved.
- I will email you an invoice, which you can pay online with a credit card or by a check in the mail.
Most common requests
I can help with many types of problems (if you’re not sure, fill out the form below and I’ll let you know!), but these are some that come up a lot.
- Your website is down, or it’s displaying a big, ugly “Error establishing a database connection” message.
- You’re getting a cryptic-looking error at the top of every page (often along the lines of “Fatal error: output already started…”).
- Someone else built your site but didn’t give you information to log in to WordPress… and now they’ve disappeared.
- Your theme has gone wonky and the sidebar isn’t where it’s supposed to be.
- Your site is suddenly using the default theme for no apparent reason.
- You’re getting a white screen and you’re locked out of your admin panel.
- You’ve received an email from Google or reports from your visitors that there’s a big red warning about hackers when they visit your site.
- Your order form has stopped working.
- You just sent out a big email to your mailing list, but realized too late that the main link was wrong.
- You’re about to launch a big product or service but can’t get the layout quite right.
- Your images aren’t working.
- You need to move the site to another address, ASAP.
I’ve helped people with all of the above (and then some!), so let me know how I can help you.
Before we get started…
There are a few things I need before I can do any work on your site:
- Admin access within WordPress
- FTP or SFTP login information
- Hosting control panel login information (it’s often the same as the FTP information)
If you don’t know where to find this information, or need help getting it, I may be able to help, but it will add time (and therefore cost) to your request, so it’s best if you have it before we start.
