Depending on your settings within CloudFlare, you may not see your changes right away when you’re working on the theme. This can make you think you’re crazy, among other things.
It actually makes perfect sense, even though it doesn’t feel that way. CloudFlare is caching your site in the event of a hosting outage, and while certain things result in an immediate update, theme changes aren’t one of them.
Fortunately, it’s easy to temporarily turn off the caching so you can see your changes. Just log in to CloudFlare, and use the gear icon to the right of your site to switch to “Development Mode”:
Development Mode automatically turns itself off after three hours (obviously they’ve met people with my attention span!), or you can manually turn it off when you’re done.
Keep in mind that if you have a separate caching plugin installed (like W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache), you’ll also need to either turn it off or clear the cache to see your changes!
